The most recent crime against businesses research released by the Home Office paints a sobering picture for companies in England and Wales. Based on the 2023 survey, some 26 per cent of all business premises were the victim of crime.
What’s more, the most common crimes reported by businesses in England and Wales during this time were theft, burglary and vandalism.
Meanwhile, the figures from the Office for National Statistics, which cover crime rates more broadly, highlighted that in the year-ending September 2025, robbery offences remained broadly stable, while shoplifting increased by five per cent.

Here are three options to bolster your security and help keep both your team and your premises secure.
